Roma are through to the round of 16 interestingly since 2010/11 after a goalless draw against BATE Borisov – combined with Bayer Leverkusen's inability to beat Barcelona – secured second place in UEFA Champions League Group E.
The Giallorossi couldn't discover a route past Sergei Chernik and at last owed their advancement to their own manager, Wojciech Szczęsny, for a natural short proximity stop to some way or another deny Mikhail Gordeichuk. BATE, who took four of their five focuses off Roma, complete fourth.
